Papaya Academy is a local school organization here in Manila. The students range from 5 to 18 years old. Here at ISM we have strong links with Papaya in our service learning program K-12.

ICARE Papaya Academy is an onsite program where students come on the bus to ISM and we interact with them through various modes of communication as well as games and learning activities. Through a series of ICARE Homerooms (meetings as a group) we will plan age appropriate activities for the week of ICARE. We will organize resources, book venues, book equipment, set up activites and most importantly have fun with the kids from Papaya Academy!

I’m your Head Chaperone and MS Forgie is the Assistant Chaperone. Please check out the links to activities and games while you plan for ICARE week. We need to book venues early as there are other school sites using the facilities too, so please plan accordingly as let me know as soon as posible what venues you will be using on the schedule. If you have any questions about Papaya Academy please e-mail or drop into my Art room 1169 for a chat

We look forward to a fun and highly rewarding expereince with you in ICARE
Hello Explore Class! This is Miss Helen reporting while Mrs Barton is away tending to her new baby boy. Congratulations on completing a number of drawing exercises in your first few lessons. I hope you a learning something new. Remember when drawing from life, you sometimes need to forget what the object actually is, and just notice all the lines and shapes, and how they connect together. We have been practising contour drawing, looking at negative space, and using some shading techniques to create form. Please look out for things that you might include in your drawing/printing work, in the next few weeks that mean something to you along the theme of sharing a history, creating a future.
